After the fierce orange glow,
of the fires wrath,
a fireman sits,
weary lines,
crease,
his face.
His sorrows,
sit plain on his face.
The ruble in the background.
Ash turns the scene gray.
He sits contemplating,
the danger of the day.

A Hero

Through floods, quakes, and scorching fire,
Through all things dreadful, and all things dire,
They race right in, risking their lives,
To save people’s children, husbands and wives.
Their bodies are able, their faces are grim,
You can trust them to act right, even on a whim.
They’re real life heroes, saving the town,
Firemen will help wipe away your gloomy frown.
They stand in the rubble, somewhat depressed,
Knowing that through the quake, they did their best.
Firemen help us feel safer each day,
We know that they are on their way.

The Fireman -

His face was once grey with ash.
The rain, it fell and washed him clean.

The flames had flickered.
The smoke had choked.

But the memories that passed,
Will again be seen.

The flames had flickered.
The smoke had choked.

He had watched life fade away.

But this was his job, another day.

The Fireman
By Shay

The house turns to flames
This is not time for games
The smoke fills the sky
No its not a lie

The firemen arrive but it is too late
The fire has wrapped the house in a crate
The smoke dies out the flames are now gone
The sun rises for it is now dawn

There is silence in the air
It is too much for him to bear
And so the fireman begins to cry
He never got to say goodbye

The Fireman

As the ashes blew in the wind
The souls of the lost beloved singed

You could hear the tears of kin
And on this day no one did win

The firefighters stood by the destruction
As the children ran in all the corruption

An every years on that every day
Everyone could feel the pain, which they had to pay

Sorrow in whats uncovered.
The smothering smell of burning and smoke, utter destriction to all that he befriended.
All that he has known turned to ash through his fingers.

Was his all good enough?
only his face reveals the answer
Did his bravery pay off?
only his face reveals the answer his expression tells the story

The Fireman
Everyone says I'm sad
that I should have reason to be glad
But I know why I'm not
why I am so distraught
I never get to say goodbye
to all the people I see die
I feel bad when we can't save
a house or something else that's brave
I dislike to see the ashes left
I would watch a theft
I am a fireman meant to save lives
but even I get scared sometimes

The fireman poems:           I hearAs I walk along this long roadOf fears of others, I feel as though I carry on my back a heavy load.Ashes in the sky hover above As the flames grow larger and larger. And I feel closed in,As I hear them closing in on me I hear them say "the fireman the firemanThe one who helps them all, The fireman the fireman the one who made sure we did not fall."                    The firemanWho am I you say/I am a fireman.Of bravery and dignityOf safety and of kindness.Out of my heart I give to you,The freedom of safety and security. The roof over your head one day may come down And who will save you,The fireman                                 Rachel

Once a fire blazed here,
Now just ash and ruble,
As he examines the destruction now visible
He can only wish he could’ve saved,
More of what was destroyed

He is wrinkled with sadness,
Cursed by depression,
But to this brave fireman,
Its just another day at the office.

...Yeah, it doesn't have a rhyming scheme.

Today I survived

I even got to save a life

It is amazing how far you can push yourself

Even though you are in danger

I can hear crackling noises from the flames

A fire has many faces

It can be a monster which can cause injury

Or a priceless work of art that make waves and interesting shapes

When the flames are dancing with the fireman the winner could be either

I am really exhausted

I am a fireman

In golden night
The fire men started to fight

As the fireman looks down
The fire is now close to the town

He was covered in ash
While the fire started to thrash

He looked up really high
But he couldn’t see the sky

As god looked down
He saw this man frown

Poem By: Nicholas Morel

memory's, depression, unhappy, sad.
It wasn't long until he was mad.

In his eyes there was so many fears.
His face was covered with tears.

The rain was pouring down.
That made his face have a frown.

The fire kept going on, and on, and on.
It wasn't long until it was gone.

After awhile he knew he had won.
And after that here comes the sun.

HE looks away in gloom
NO flowers are in bloom

THE fireman is looking down
HE is nowhere close to town

THE flames leap high
YOU can’t see the sky

OH my, my
WHEN will he die?

JACK
...ITS not that good...

Here I lay

Here I lay and now I stay, forever in internal darkness
Here I lay and sleep forever, all because of 7 people
Now all 7 people live and I stay here enclosed by the ground in a silver casket of death
People place ashes and flowers where I lay behind a broken building
Now here I lay and here I stay behind a crumbled building
Everyone trembles where they building used to stand high
But that is a story. . .
To tell another day at the place where I lay.

Death faces the Fireman
He looks it in the eyes

He knows whats going to happen
As he sits there and he cries

His life flashes before him
As his body shuts down and dies

Its a wonderful life for firemen
Until the last goodbye
